The exhibition catalogue for Babbarra Women’s Centre’s exhibition Jarracharra at the Australian Embassy in France, Paris, has been released.
Curated by Ingrid Johnson and Jessica Phillips, this publication celebrates more than 25 artists supported by the Babbarra Women’s Centre located in Maningrida.
The catalogue tells the story of the Bábbarra Women’s Centre, its artists and the 32 designs featuring in the Jarracharra exhibition.

The context and significance of the artworks are explained by the artists themselves, often in their own Indigenous languages with English translation.
The publication features an essay by Bábbarra Women’s Centre Manager Ingrid Johanson, as well as a curatorial preface by both Jessica Phillips and Ingrid.
It also features a double page map of the Arnhem Land region.
