Saturday 15 February: lecture about the Wandjina
In this lecture Dr Georges Petitjean, curator of the AAMU, will talk about the Wandjina, ancestral beings who created the land and are responsible for monsoons, rivers and lagoons in the region. Spectacular rock paintings of the Wandjina can be found in the Kimberley region.
In the exhibition Country to Coast a special room is dedicated to bark paintings of Wandjina.
