Curated by Hetti Perkins and Jonathan Jones, the SOUTHEAST Aboriginal Arts Market brings together artists and collectives from regional and coastal New South Wales, ACT, southern Victoria, the Murray basin catchment and Tasmania to showcase the visual and cultural heritage of South-East Aboriginal Australia.
Almost doubling in size in 2019, over 60 artists and collectives will present traditional and contemporary practices, showcasing work in a variety of mediums including ceramics, jewelry, weaving, photography, carving, textiles, painting and publishing. Artists have been selected to celebrate the creative diversity of South-East Australian Aboriginal art.
The SOUTHEAST Aboriginal Arts Market offers a special opportunity to ‘meet the makers’ and experience the unique creativity of contemporary art from this region.
