As part of a special program of events and activities organised for NAIDOC Week in Paris, the Australian Embassy is hosting a panel discussion on ethical practices in the Indigenous Australian art sector on Thursday 7 July 2022.
Indigenous Art Code’s Chairwoman, Stephanie Parkin, and CEO Gabrielle Sullivan, will be presenting and exchanging with two French experts, IDAIA’s Director Solenne Ducos-Lamotte and anthropologist and curator Arnaud Morvan, about the Code and what it means concretely. They will notably discuss the elements to consider to ensure that one buys works of art whose provenance is fair, ethical and transparent.
