– Official launch by Daniel Browning, ABC RN AWAYE! presenter and arts writer;
– Jean-Baptiste Milcamps, Director of the Alliance Francaise de Sydney;
– Solenne Ducos-Lamotte, Director of IDAIA, main curator of the exhibition.
In the presence of:
– Tess Allas, Director of Indigenous Programs at UNSW Art & Design, curatorial advisor for the exhibition;
– Consul-General of France Nicolas Croizer;
– French Cultural Attache Philippe Platel.

Tuesday 27 Sep. | 18.30pm | Lecture: Revival of the traditional practice of possum skin cloak making with Lee Darroch

Wednesday 19 Oct. | 6-8pm | Lecture: Contemporary Aboriginal Art with Tess Allas

Thursday 20 Oct. | 6-8pm | Lecture: Voyage au coeur de l’Art Aborigene with Solenne Ducos-Lamotte (in French)

 

Guided Visits

Tours can be organised on demand with exhibition’s curator Solenne Ducos-Lamotte guiding the group throughout the exhibition, explaining the concept and presenting the 45 exhibited artworks across 3 floors.

Tours can be in English or French.
Approx. duration is 1 hour.
No minimum number of participants required.
