Margaret Beebe is an artist who lives and works in Kununurra (WA) and is part of the official Aboriginal art centre Waringarri Aboriginal Arts.
Margaret Beebe was born in Halls Creek but lives and grew up in Kununurra. Margaret began painting and carving boabs in 2012 after observing and learning from family members and other expert carvers such as her sister, Penny Archie. Margaret’s artistic talent soon became apparent, her carving skills rapidly progressed and her original designs developed into more and more intricate patterns and compositions.
She now engraves boab nuts regularly, enjoys the challenge of new mediums for her artistic expression and can be classed as one Waringarri’s best carvers.
