Donna Ferguson is part of the art centre Tjanpi Desert Weavers.

Donna is an artist belonging to the Pitjantjatjara language and cultural group who lives in the remote community of Kaltukatjara (Docker River) with her husband and young son. She was born in Alice Springs, and spent her childhood between Kaltukatjara and other nearby communities visiting family.

Donna began weaving in 2014, making a camel sculpture with wool and grass. She later branched out into weaving brightly coloured baskets. When talking about her work, Donna says that she likes to make both baskets and sculptures, and draws inspiration from the animals she sees in the central desert, such as camels, bush turkeys and dingoes.
