IDAIA is a French-Australian social enterprise promoting and supporting contemporary Indigenous Australian art. 

Founded in Sydney in 2008, IDAIA has been dedicated to developing the visibility and appreciation of Indigenous Australian art towards international audiences, and to supporting artists and artist cooperatives, notably via:

  • Organising exhibitions and educational activities ;
  • Informing about the Indigenous Australian art exhibitions and events across the globe ;
  • Selling artworks and objects ethically-sourced from Aboriginal art centres artists ;
  • Developing collaborations aiming at contributing to the cultural and economic empowerment of Aboriginal artists and communities.

IDAIA has been a signatory member of the Indigenous Art Code since the Code was introduced in 2010 and IDAIA’s Founder and Director Solenne Ducos-Lamotte was a Board Director from 2013 to 2017.

IDAIA FRANCE was established early 2018 as a social enterprise and now has a permanent gallery in the beautiful Passage du Grand Cerf in Paris.
