Mardayin – Aboriginal Art of Maningrida Arts
This exhibition at ArtKelch in Germany shows works from Maningrida, Western Arnhem Land. The artists of this area work exclusively with natural earth pigments and have developed their own characteristics, which are closely related to their culture and their creation story, which is called Mardayin. Rarrk (crosshatching) is the predominant stylistic feature of the region.
