Catherine Hickson is a professional art educator.

She has completed a Master in Museum Studies and Art History at the University of Sydney, and has been working with the Art Gallery of NSW for over 10 years with educational workshops and volunteer guiding. 

Passionate by Indigenous Australian art and history, Catherine started her involvement with IDAIA in 2012 by managing exhibition ‘Gestuelles – The Art of Transmission by Aboriginal Desert Women‘ at the Alliance Française de Brisbane.

Bilingual in English and French, Catherine is a regular guide and lecturer for IDAIA’s educational activities.

Catherine is also an accomplished artist and has been exhibiting since 2005.
